Juan Romero is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Earth Science and Engineering at KAUST, where he is a member of the Computational Imaging Group under the supervision of Professor Wolfgang Heidrich. He holds a Master of Science in Earth Science and Engineering from KAUST, with a specialization in Machine Learning for Geosciences, and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Universidad Nacional de Colombia (National University of Colombia). Juan’s research focuses on applying deep learning techniques to solve inverse problems in seismic imaging. His work emphasizes uncertainty quantification through advanced Bayesian inference methods.
