KAUST is a fascinating global university. The community at KAUST is represented by more than 100 nationalities. Among all of my friends at KAUST, who come from all corners of the world, I surely have the most mundane story: I am from a village that is just half an hour’s drive from KAUST.

I did my PhD at Oxford University, master’s degree at the University of Waterloo, and bachelor’s degree at KFUPM. I worked as an electrical engineer at Saudi Aramco and did my co-op at Ericsson. My current research focuses on both theoretical and experimental analysis of time-of-flight imaging in the photon counting regime.
